About Bitcoin Cash
Bitcoin Cash split from Bitcoin on 1 August 2017 over how to scale: rather than moving activity to second layers, it raised the block size so ordinary payments stay on-chain and cheap. Everything else is inherited from Bitcoin β SHA-256 proof-of-work, a 21 million cap, ten-minute blocks and the same four-year halving schedule. That shared issuance schedule means BCH and BTC halve at almost the same time, and BCH is mined on the same hardware.
On-chain BCH fees are typically a fraction of a cent and do not spike the way Bitcoin's do, because block space is rarely scarce. Exchange trading fees will dominate your costs.
BCH tends to track BTC's direction with a larger amplitude, and its sharpest historical moves came from fork events and hash-rate shifts rather than from ordinary market flow.

Frequently asked questions
οΌHow many BCH are there?
20.07 million BCH were in circulation as of 3 August 2026, against a maximum of 21 million β so 95.6% of everything that will ever exist has already been issued, leaving 930,000 still to come. At that point issuance is close to finished, so future supply growth is not a meaningful factor in the price.
οΌCan I stake BCH?
None β BCH is mined, not staked. That is why there is no BCH staking calculator here: the tool reports rewards in units of the coin you staked, so it only covers networks that pay in that same asset. Publishing a page where the dollar figure was right and the unit was wrong would be worse than leaving it out.
οΌWhich BCH calculator should I use?
There are 5 on this page and they answer different questions. Start from what you are actually asking: what a past purchase would be worth now, what a position is worth today, where a leveraged position gets liquidated, or what regular buying would have produced. Each opens with the live BCH price already filled in, and every calculation runs in your browser β nothing is sent anywhere and nothing is stored.
οΌWhere does the BCH price on this page come from?
Live from CoinGecko when you press the price button, with the BCHUSDT pair on Binance as a fallback if that request fails. The request happens in your browser and carries nothing about you; if both fail the calculator keeps working with whatever figure you type in.
