About VeChain

VeChain targets enterprise supply-chain tracking rather than DeFi, and uses a governance model to match: blocks are produced by known, vetted authority nodes rather than by anonymous validators. Its distinctive feature is the two-token design β€” you hold VET, and it continuously generates VTHO, which is what actually pays for transactions. That means a business can budget its transaction costs in advance by holding a VET balance, insulating it from the token's price swings.

Because fees are paid in the VTHO your VET generates, a business holding enough VET can transact at an effectively fixed cost regardless of the token's price.

VET has historically moved on enterprise partnership announcements, many of which took far longer to produce on-chain volume than the price implied.

Frequently asked questions

οΌ‹How many VET are there?

85.99 billion VET were in circulation as of 5 August 2026, against a maximum of 86.71 billion β€” so 99.2% of everything that will ever exist has already been issued, leaving 727.63 million still to come. At that point issuance is close to finished, so future supply growth is not a meaningful factor in the price.

οΌ‹Can I stake VET?

VeChain has no holder staking that this site tracks. That is why there is no VET staking calculator here: the tool reports rewards in units of the coin you staked, so it only covers networks that pay in that same asset. Publishing a page where the dollar figure was right and the unit was wrong would be worse than leaving it out.

οΌ‹Which VET calculator should I use?

There are 5 on this page and they answer different questions. Start from what you are actually asking: what a past purchase would be worth now, what a position is worth today, where a leveraged position gets liquidated, or what regular buying would have produced. Each opens with the live VET price already filled in, and every calculation runs in your browser β€” nothing is sent anywhere and nothing is stored.

οΌ‹Where does the VET price on this page come from?

Live from CoinGecko when you press the price button, with the VETUSDT pair on Binance as a fallback if that request fails. The request happens in your browser and carries nothing about you; if both fail the calculator keeps working with whatever figure you type in.
