About Immutable
Immutable exists to make game assets tradeable without gas: it started as a StarkWare-based scaling layer for NFTs with no minting fee, and later added an EVM chain so studios could deploy ordinary Solidity contracts. Its pitch to developers is that a game should not require its players to understand gas, and its pitch to holders is a share of the protocol fee taken on trades. Whether that works depends entirely on whether the games find players β which is the risk worth naming.
Trades on Immutable cost no gas to the player β the protocol takes a percentage fee instead, which is where staking rewards come from.
IMX rises and falls with the gaming narrative, which has been one of the most cyclical in crypto.

Frequently asked questions
οΌHow many IMX are there?
2 billion IMX were in circulation as of 5 August 2026, against a maximum of 2 billion β so 100.0% of everything that will ever exist has already been issued, leaving 0 still to come. At that point issuance is close to finished, so future supply growth is not a meaningful factor in the price.
οΌCan I stake IMX, and what does it pay?
Yes. Stake IMX on Immutable to earn a share of the protocol fee taken on marketplace trades. Rewards run at low, and it depends directly on how much trading the games actually generate, and the calculator on this page is prefilled with 2% so you can change it to whatever your validator or platform actually quotes. Rewards are distributed per period, and you must hold through the period to qualify. Staking is native to the protocol here, so you are not relying on a third party's wrapper.
οΌWhich IMX calculator should I use?
There are 6 on this page and they answer different questions. Start from what you are actually asking: what a past purchase would be worth now, what a position is worth today, where a leveraged position gets liquidated, or what regular buying would have produced. Each opens with the live IMX price already filled in, and every calculation runs in your browser β nothing is sent anywhere and nothing is stored.
οΌWhere does the IMX price on this page come from?
Live from CoinGecko when you press the price button, with the IMXUSDT pair on Binance as a fallback if that request fails. The request happens in your browser and carries nothing about you; if both fail the calculator keeps working with whatever figure you type in.
